Kayden D. McWhorter, 19, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly on Sunday morning, March 10, 2024. He was born on Thursday, September 9, 2004, in Circleville, the son of Michael McWhorter and Ashlea Dennis.
Kayden is survived by his parents, Michael and Karry McWhorter of Frankfort and Ashlea and Dan Mahorney of Washington C.H., his maternal grandparents; Katt and Rick Marriott of Chillicothe, Lloyd and Brenda Free of Frankfort, paternal grandparents; Tom and Cheri McWhorter of Chillicothe, maternal great grandmother; Kathryn Mahorney of Lynchburg, and paternal great grandparents; Larry Hinkel of Chillicothe. He is also survived by his sisters; Kayla Grooms, Isabella Lawhorn, Hunter Mahorney, Shelby Holt, his brothers; Austyn McWhorter, Jackson Hicks, Talon and Hawk Mahorney, his girlfriend; Christine Clemons, many good friends, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kayden was preceded in death by maternal grandfather; Dwight Dennis, his paternal great grandmother; Sharon Hinkel and a cousin; Abby Marriott.
He was a 2023 graduate of Adena High School and the Pickaway – Ross Vocational School where he was in the Commercial Carpentry class. Kayden was on the track and football teams at Adena. He was active in the FFA and 4-H. He was a member of the Ribbon Wranglers 4-H club. Kayden was a Union Carpenter working with Acoustic Tiles and Partitions. Kayden loved spending his time outdoors hunting and four wheeling.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with BJ Dailey officiating. Following the service, Kayden will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.Thursday, March 14, 2024
