Kenneth Eugene McCollister

Kenneth E. McCollister, 88, of Clarksburg, died at 10:34 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at his home. He was born on August 28, 1926 in Ross County, the son of the late Hershel and Mary Parker McCollister. On January 18, 1947 he married the former Martha Haynes who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Linda Sue (Ross) Patton of Barboursville WV, Nelson (Connie) McCollister, Patti McCollister, David Lyle (Michelle) McCollister, all of Frankfort, eight grandchildren, Amy, Brian, Beth, Mark, Melody, Shane, Patrick, Jesse, twelve great-grandchildren, and one brother, Hershel McCollister of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Kenneth was a lifelong farmer, drove a school bus for Frankfort Schools for 20 years and retired from the CCI Farm after more than 20 years of employment. Kenny was a member of the Ross County Farm Bureau and loved to farm and garden.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the McCollister family on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
