Kenneth Dean Smith

Kenneth D. Smith, 65, of Frankfort, died at 7:45a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 at his home. He was born on July 8, 1947 in Indianapolis IN, the son of the late Virgil Otto and Dortha Mae Bentley Smith. His wife, the former Diane Higginbotham preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Rodney (Renee Lisle) Smith of Frankfort, Angie (Dave Proehl) Corbit of Chillicothe, Corey Smith of Frankfort, grandchildren Jason Smith, April and Frankie Corbit, sisters Eileen Warren, Maxine Hepburn, June Ann Sennif, Beverly (Frank) Tackett, Ruth Smith, brothers Richard Smith, Bill (Amy) Smith, Buddy (Shirley) Smith, Keith (Sandy) Smith, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings Tom Smith, Virgil Milton Smith, Nancy Louise Smith, Donna Woodling and Bob Smith.

Kenneth retired from Budd Co., Frankfort, where he had worked as quality control inspector. He loved dirt track racing, music, and working on cars. Kenneth served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

The family wishes to thank Adena Hospice, the OSU Wexner Medical Center and the Chillicothe VA Hospital for their support.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 6 to 8p.m. in Kenneth's home, 7780 State Route 28, Frankfort OH. In keeping with his wishes cremation will follow.
