Kimberly Marie (Taylor) Dennis, passed away July 10,2024 at the OSU James Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 1, 1972, to parents Theresa (Lambert) Joslyn and William Taylor in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Kimberly was a United States Veteran who proudly served in the Navy from 1989 to 1997 on the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier. She was an aviation boatswain mate and the first woman to receive her flight deck qualification on the carrier. She later worked at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, committed to helping veterans until her retirement in 2024.
Kimberly enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to go on adventures, travel the world, go camping,and surround herself with her “people”. Her favorite places to visit were the ocean and Sedona, Arizona. She married her soulmate, Wesley, August 31, 2003. Together, they raised three children in Greenfield, Ohio.
Her family would tell you Kimberly was one of the strongest, most hardworking women they have ever met. She loved with everything she had. She was silly, spunky, and what her granddaughters call “saucy”. She was and always will be the heart of the family. She was her family’s best friend, confidant, supporter, advocate, and problem solver. She was the most incredible woman, and her family is proud to call her theirs.
She is survived by her husband Wesley Dennis, son Logan Taylor, daughter Vivian Dennis, daughter Amanda Meyer (Jonathan Meyer), granddaughters Loralei and Lannister Meyer, many brother and sister in laws, nieces , nephews, her parents Theresa Joslyn and William Taylor, and half-sister Jamie Joslyn. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Eldon Hugh Dennis Jr., brother-in-law Steve McClure, and the family’s pet schnauzer Doc.
Kimberly Dennis’ visitation and gathering will be held July 27th at 10:30 a.m. at the Buckskin Community Church, located at 2862 Church Street, South Salem, OH 45681. Mark Current will officiate the memorial service. Kim’s service will conclude with full military honors accorded by a Honors Detail from the United States Navy and the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield. The ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield is serving the family.
