Kyler A. Mootz, 28, of Frankfort, died unexpectedly Friday morning, December 27, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on March 23, 1996, in Chillicothe, a son of Robert “Bob” Caldwell and Susan Mootz Sever.
He met the love of his life Chelsea Skaggs in 2014, and they were married on January 18, 2020 . They share two beautiful children, Ellisyn and Jameson Mootz who were his whole world. All of whom survive.
Also surviving is his dad, Jason Sever, sister, Emelia Sever, brothers Kelton (Kevin) Mootz-Sever, and Evan (Isabella) Sever. Evan and Kyler had a special bond that only they understood, they weren’t just brothers, they were best friends. Also surviving are his father and mother-in-law, Mark (Lora) Skaggs, brother-in-law, Zachary (Meghan) Skaggs, multiple grandparents, aunts and uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather John Mootz, maternal aunt Gina Hummell Davis, paternal grandfather, “Head” Sever, and his paternal great-grandparents, Jack (Elsie) Auxier.
Kyler was a graduate of Adena High School and Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center. He worked as a diesel mechanic at MHC Kenworth RoadReady Center, Chillicothe. Kyler enjoyed hunting, fishing, and four-wheeler riding with the Frankfort Creek Riders, but his greatest passion was for his family.
In keeping with Kyler's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 5 to 7PM, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Those wishing to share a memory of Kyler may do so on his online register.
