Laquita Kline, 76, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born in Buckskin Township, Ross County, on Tuesday, March 23, 1948, a daughter of the late George and Opal Pollock Palmer. On April 11, 1985, she married James N. Kline.
She is survived by her husband, Jim, two sons; Brian (Janie) Bar ton and Chris (Shannon) Barton, all of Greenfield, one step-son; Chris Kline of Greenfield, one step-daughter; Leah (Patrick) McConkey of Greenfield, grandchildren; Sydney (Ryan) Faulconer, Mathew Barton, Alexis Barton, Reagan Barton and Sierra Barton, Jeff Kline, Austin Kline, Brooke Kline, Arielle Kline, Michael Daugherty, Logan Daugherty, Brailey Daugherty and Harley Kline, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Laquita was preceded in death by one son; William Curtis Barton, two sisters; Laverne Kline and Gloria Wisecup and on brother; Dean Palmer.
Laquita was a member of the South Salem United Methodist Church. She was a wife, mother and a very proud grandma. She had worked as a rural mail carrier with the South Salem Post Office.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating. Following the service, Laquita will be laid to rest beside her son, Billy, in the South Salem Cemetery.
