Lawrence Estep

Lawrence "Mike" Estep (Big Daddy), 72, of Frankfort, surrounded by loved ones, peacefully went to Heaven with his parents on Monday, February 24, 2025. He was born in Chillicothe on Tuesday, July 1, 1952, the son of Lawrence and Betty (Haynes) Estep.

Mike is survived by his wife, Basha (Patrick) Estep, five children; Michael Estep, Heather Estep, Beth (Jack) Birchfield, Becca (Mike) Eblin and Glenda (Sam) Colopy. He was the proud pap of several grandchildren and great - grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy (Sam) Tegeler and his brother, Pete Estep.

Mike proudly served three years in the United States Army, later retiring from the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Mike was a man of many passions, such as; collecting Hot Wheels, watching wrestling, shooting guns, and pulling pranks. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Some of his favorites were fishing with his grandson, Kaleb, attending car shows with his brother, Pete, and game night with his granddaughter, Beth. Mike cherished time with loved ones and always had a funny story to share.

Mike was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME in Frankfort, with his nephew, Pastor Brian Tegeler officiating.

Following the service, military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
