Lena Stewart

Lena (Benner) Stewart 92 of Columbus passed from this life 7:25 am Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at West Park Rehabilitation Center, Columbus. She was born June 17, 1929 in Fruitdale, Ohio the daughter of the late Paul and Ruby (Everhart) Benner. In November 1965 she married Charles T. Stewart, who survives. Also surviving a son Martin (Dawn) Stewart; grandson Seth Arrowood; sisters Suzanne Gregg and Lida Wall and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Lena was preceded in death by her siblings Jeanie Hart, Louellen “Micky” Vaughn, Dave, and Paul “Bud” Benner.

Lena was a Women’s Army Corp veteran of the Korean War. She loved her family and was known as the family photographer.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Randy Chrisman officiating. Lena will be laid to rest in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
