Lewis Wayne Kern

Lewis Wayne Kern, 83, of Frankfort, died at 8:46a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 1, 1928 in Jackson County, the son of the late Ralph L. and Ruth L. Swan Kern. On July 22, 1950 he married the former Bonnie L. Brammer, who survives.

Also surviving are one sister; Mable C. Mash of Waverly, special friends; Elmer (Garnetta) Ellis of Shelbyville TN, Bud (Charlotte) Keirns of Chillicothe, and his loving dog; Chelsea. He was preceded in death by one brother; John Grow.

Wayne was a 1946 graduate of Beaver High School. He worked at North American, where he assembled aircrafts. Wayne attended Frankfort Baptist Church and was faithful in his love for his church and his God. He utilized his love for horses with his work. He enjoyed woodworking, and yard maintenance.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Paul Winks officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Jackson County. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Frankfort Baptist Church, 50 Eastern Ave, Frankfort OH 45628.
