Lewis Workman

Lewis E. "Lew" Workman, 76, of Clarksburg, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, March 28, 2024, at his home. He was born on Wednesday, December 31, 1947, in Delburton, West Virginia, a son of the late Douglas and Icie Lea Curry Workman.

He is survived by his wife, the former Liddie Jean Marcum, two sons: Barry Edward Workman of Florida and Jeff Workman of Alabama, one step-daughter: Jeanna Hatfield of Columbus, five grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Alysen, Kailey and Luke and one great granddaughter: Julia Michelle. Lew is also survived by many close friends from his work at the Columbus Police Department and other places.

Lewis was a 1965 graduate of Burch High School in Delbarton, WV. He retired in 1990 as a Police Officer with the Columbus Police Department following many years of service to the City of Columbus. Lew was a member of the Columbus Fraternal Order of Police. He loved watching drag racing, especially at National Trail Raceway.

Lew will be cremated, and no services will be held. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
