Linda Kay Purvis

Linda Kay Underwood Purvis 61 of Bainbridge, went to be with her Lord Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus. She was born Monday, October 17, 1960, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Richard K. and Mary Botsett Underwood. On Saturday, June 22, 1991, she married Brian N. Purvis, who survives.

She is also survived by her mother Mary of Indianapolis; son Aaron Purvis of Bainbridge; sister Dawn (John) Robison of Silt, Colorado; brother Jeff (Diane) Underwood of Plainfield, Indiana; sisters-in-law Maria (Jack) Dingus of Bainbridge and Renee (Rob) Trout of Chillicothe; along with several nieces, nephews and friends, as well as the family pet, Mattie.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Richard and father and mother-in-law Gene and Charlotte Shelton Purvis.

Linda was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School and Cincinnati Bible College. She was an educational aide, a member of the Bainbridge Historical Society, a past member of PV Band Boosters, a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ and a member of the choir. Linda was crafty and liked crocheting scrubbies. She also enjoyed gardening.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Greenfield Church of Christ, with Danny Dodds officiating. Interment will take place in the Bainbridge Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit with Linda’s family from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the Church.
