Lola Faye Adkins

Lola Faye Adkins 80 of Bainbridge died 5:50 pm Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Valley View Alzheimer Care Center, Frankfort. She was born Jan. 31, 1934 in Paintsville, KY the daughter of the late Henry and Belvie Murry Sparks. On Oct. 26, 1950 she married Estil Adkins who died July 29, 2004.

She is survived by her 5 children, Leah Ann Mitchell of Greenfield, Charlotte Cox and Ronald "Runt" (Linda) Adkins of Chillicothe, Boone (Ruth) Adkins of South Salem and Virgil (Kristi) Adkins of Sabina; several grand and great grandchildren; a sister, Lilly Belle Hamilton of MI; special children, Richard Looney of Bainbridge, Alvin Smith and Scott Montgomery both of Greenfield.

Lola was preceded in death by a son, David Penwell and several great grandchildren, sisters and brothers.

She loved to cook for her family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, June 13, 2014 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Rev. Brad Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with the Adkins family from 12 pm until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
