Mabel Maria Greenlee DeWitt, 103, of Frankfort, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 9:40p.m. at Westmoreland Place, Chillicothe. She was born on August 30, 1907 in Austin OH, the daughter of the late Samual and Mary "Mollie" Haynes Greenlee. On August 3, 1928 she married Amos DeWitt who preceded her in death on August 23, 1976.
Surviving are sons; Kenneth (Evelyn) DeWitt of Clarksburg, Wayne (Melody) DeWitt of Frankfort, daughters; Marlene Henry of Mesa AZ, Barbara (Gary) Havens of Frankfort, daughter-in-law; Betty DeWitt of Frankfort, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and nineteen great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons; Willard and Ralph DeWitt, two grandchildren; Nathan Henry and Cathy Rhodes, three sisters; Hazel Ackley, Goldie Morris, Margaret (in infancy), five brothers; Dewey, Robert, John, Charlie and Ernest Greenlee, son-in-law; Darrell Henry.
Mabel attended Austin Young School. She was a loving farm wife, mother, grandmother, friends and an unforgettable patient Christian.
Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 2, 2011 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Rev. Joy Stanforth officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery, Washington Courthouse. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8pm.
