Mable L. Vandemark, 74, of Bainbridge, died at 3:06 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at her home. She was born in Ross County on Wednesday, October 23, 1946, a daughter of the late John and Alma Skaggs Woods. She married James R. Vandemark on Friday, September 18, 1964.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Vandemark one daughter, Debra (Scott) Lewis and one son, Ronald Vandemark of Bainbridge, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, one sister, Zona (Norman) Shumaker and one brother Charles Woods and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Edith Thoroughmaan, Alice McClure, Alberta Hackworth, Rosetta Logan and three brothers, Edward, Norman and Dale Woods.
Mable was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She attended the Red Bud Chapel for several years. Mable loved to sew and she enjoyed playing Bingo.
A funeral service for Mable will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 in the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Bainbridge with Pastor Richard Burns officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Bainbridge Cemetery. Family and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
