Marcie Jackson

Marcie Jo Jackson, 66, of Columbus, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 3, 2023, at her home. She was born on Tuesday, July 3, 1956, in Chillicothe, a daughter of the late Ronald E. Long and Barbara A. Merritt Woollet.

Marcie is survived by her son, Kyle Merritt (Sarah) Jackson of Grove City, grandchildren, Seth Merritt Jackson, Breanna Marie Jackson, Logan Hughes Dennison, great-grandchild, Oaklynn Lee Marie Jackson, sister, Kristi (Ken) Howard of Holden Beach, NC, brother, Edwin Long of Chillicothe, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, David Long, her grandmother and grandfather, Dorothy and Lewis Merritt.

Marcie was a graduate of Teays Valley High School. She later graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing specialized in cardiology. She went on to work in the Ohio State University Hospital for over ten years in the Emergency Room where she worked many nights, weekends, and holidays. She was a loving and selfless caretaker.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, April 10, 2023, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Rev. Allen Thwaits officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends and family are invited to visit with Marcie's family on Monday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
