Mark David Saunders

Mark David Saunders 63 of Greenfield passed unexpectedly from this life Sunday, March 6, 2022 at his home. He was born September 1, 1958 in Ross County, OH the son of the late David W. and Anna L. (Posey) Saunders. On April 10, 1982 he married his wife of nearly 40 years Kathy S. (McClure) Saunders, who survives.

He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law Casey Saunders and Amanda Hafer; grandchildren Caleb, Caitlynn, Hailey (Grant), Shaila and JJ; sisters Debbie Mitchell, Pam (Jim) Daugherty and Angie (Randy) Mustard; brother John Saunders (Betty Burroughs); brothers and sisters in-law Wayne (Diane) Woods, Kevin Woods, John (MJ) McClure, Brad McClure, Trace (Scott) Gregg and Wanda (John) McGrath; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; also Josie the family pet for the last 10 years.

In addition to his parents Mark was preceded in death by a special aunt and uncle Ella Mae and Frank Saunders; his father and mother in-law Thomas and Alice McClure; brothers-in-law Dave Mitchel and Pat Cooper and a sister-in-law Charity Cheadle and her husband Steve.

Mark worked for Crop Production for several years where he enjoyed spraying and being in the fields. He loved being outdoors and hunting for mushrooms, he was king at finding them. He liked fishing and was also a lifelong Bengals fan. Mark was a member of the American Legion Post 14 and the VFW 4736.

A celebration of life will be held 3 pm Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Rev. Dane Knapp officiating. Friends may visit with Mark’s family from 1-3 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
