Marlin L "Pete" Henness

Marlin L. "Pete" Henness, 76, of Frankfort, died at 2:26a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on August 15, 1939 in Ross County, the son of the late Everett Marlin and Margaret Jane Hurles Henness. On June 5, 1965 he married the former Rosa Marcella "Marty" Lewis, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Mark Bradley Henness of Frankfort, Rebecca Lynn (Marvin) Nash of Clarksburg, two grandchildren who were the light of this life, Zachary and Nicholas Thomas, two brothers, Alfred Ray (Cora) Henness of Chillicothe, Gary Roger (Helen) Henness of Frankfort, and a cousin who is his special sister, Marilyn "Sis" Strausbaugh.
Pete was a 1958 graduate of Frankfort High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Pete worked as a sheeter operator for 43 years at Mead Corporation and was a member of the Local 731 United Paper Workers Union. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for 48 years where he served as an usher and was involved with the AWANA Children's Program. Pete was a very active league bowler at Shawnee Lanes, Chillicothe.
A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Pastor Andrew Shearer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, with military honors accorded by the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 Frankfort American Legion. Friends may visit with the Henness family at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8p.m..
