Mary E. Brown, 69, of Greenfield, died at 1:22pm on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at her home. She was born on Thursday, September 24, 1953, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Hunter T. and Lucy E. False Certain. Her husband, Jimmy Dale Brown preceded her in death.

 

Mary is survived by three daughters, Augusta Clay of Greenfield, Amanda (Joanna) Reno of Florence KY, Kelli Brown of Washington Court House, four grandchildren, Hannah, Bradley, Alyssa, Storm, several great-grandchildren, two sisters, Bonnie Howland of Greenfield, Augustie Church of Lima, two brothers, Hager (Della) Certain of Peebles, Jackie Rose Certain of Greenfield, special nephews, Jason Certain, Mike Certain, along with several other nieces and nephews, special friends, Peggy Hackworth, Mary Jane Miller, Carolyn Butterbaugh, and her loyal companions Roy Rogers and Sugar Babe. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one son, John Leonard Brown, one sister, Velma Carpenter, two brothers, John L. Certain, Danny L. Certain, and three nieces, Adylynn, Chasity, and Candy.

 

Mary worked for Packaging Resources, Greenfield. She was an interested party of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Mary took comfort in the scripture Revelation 21:4 "And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning no outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

 

In keeping with Mary's wishes, she will be buried in Greenfield Cemetery, and no calling hours will be held. The ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield is serving the family. Those who wish to leave a personal memory of Mary and sign her online register.
