Mary Skaggs Lowman

Mary R. Lowman 91 of Greenfield died 7:25 am Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Hearth and Care, Greenfield. She was born December 7, 1922 in Ross County the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Flora Wilson Skaggs. On November 28, 1938 she married Floyd C. Lowman who died March 3, 1976.

She is survived by three children, Anna Margaret Lowman of Greenfield, Floyd C. Lowman, Jr. of Fruitdale and Robert L. Lowman of Greenfield; 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Rachford of South Salem, Phyllis Sexton and Cora Bayse both of Greenfield; two brothers, Fred and Richard Skaggs both of Hillsboro and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by three daughters, Norma Jean and Mary Elizabeth Lowman and Lucy Loraine Hatfield; 2 grandchildren; a great great great grandchild; two sisters and four brothers.

Mary was a great mother and grandmother who loved to quilt.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, July 18, 2014 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Robert Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with the Lowman family from 11am until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
