Mary Martha Harris Thomas Scott, 57, of Chillicothe, died at 12:40p.m. on November 20, 2013, at her home. She was born on April 20, 1956 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Evelyn Beatty Harris.

Surviving are one daughter, Noka Harris, and one son, James C. Thomas Jr., both of Chillicothe, six grandchildren, five sisters, Rosemary (Ralph) Brown of Chillicothe, Linda S. Hatfield of Roxabel, Betty (Carl) Winfield of Chillicothe, Patricia Moss of Orrville, Lisa (Reuben) Richardson of Portsmouth, one brother, Billy (Beverly) Trent of Sciotoville OH, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Debbie Harris and one brother, Michael Harris.

Mary was a nursing assistant, having worked for Heartland Nursing. She was a member of the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ, Chillicothe. The family would like to thank the National Church Residences Hospice nurses, assistants and Billy the Chaplain.

Funeral service will be held at 1p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Elder Obadiah Harris and Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11a.m. until the time of service.
