Mary Lou Skaggs

Mary Lou Meadows Skaggs 82 of Bainbridge passed from this life Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Adena Greenfield. She was born May 6, 1940 in Grundy, VA to the late McKinley Meadows and Thelma (Price) Younker.

She is survived by her children Brenda Cooper, Carol (Wade) Darr, Dottie James and Paula (David) Fowler; grandchildren Crystal Conaway, Desiree and Danielle Fowler, Dusty Darr and Cody James; great grandchildren Grant Darr, Ely Conaway, Bentley Fowler, Amanda Conaway and Alli Darr; sisters Dinah Younker, Doris Vandemark, twin sister Betty Woods; brothers Carl Meadows, Enze Younker, David Younker and Dennis Younker and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Cindy Lou Skaggs; son-in-law Mark James and sisters Opal Hammond and Jackie McDowell.

Mary loved doing jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles and watching Rodeos. She loved her family and reading her bible. She also enjoyed being outside on the porch watching the birds.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Mike Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mary's family from 11 am until the time-of-service Saturday at the Funeral Home.
