Maxine Newman

Maxine Newman, 66, of Frankfort, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 1a.m at her son's home. She was born on June 27, 1944 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Earl and Pansy Evans Secrest. On June 24, 1964 she married Lloyd "Bud" Newman who preceded her in death on November 4, 2004.



She is survived by her children; Conard (Mary) Newman of Frankfort, Tammy (Jason) Dixon of Chillicothe, nine grandchildren; Darrell, Sasha, Sonya, William, Lloyd, Shasta, Shawna, Shyla, and Samantha, two great-grandchildren; Quinton and Nichole, three sisters; Mildred "Mickey" Adams, Patty Coy, and Janet Lambert, all of Frankfort, three brothers; Wendell Secrest of Moyock NC, Ted Secrest of Chillicothe, and Melvin Secrest of Frankfort. She was preceded in death by one daughter; Clarissa "Chris" Newman, one sister; Hazel Estep, and two brothers; Bill and Jerry Secrest.



Maxine had worked for Marietta Place. Her favorite colors were purple and lavender. She loved the Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys and Rusty Wallace.



Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 1p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, FRANKFORT with Bob Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11a.m. until the time of service.
