Megan Parsons

Megan Ann Coldiron-Parsons, of Frankfort, died in the evening hours of February 14th, 2025, in Chillicothe, Ohio.

She was born September 4th, 1978, to Sarita Coldiron and Roger Parsons. She was a 1997 graduate of Adena High School. Megan had worked as a certified medical assistant for many years. In the last decade, she served as a primary caretaker for two of her loved ones who battled dementia and expressed many times that being a caretaker felt natural to her. She loved to connect with others and advocate for those in need. Megan loved to create art of many different mediums, including beading, painting, drawing, and decorating. She loved listening to and creating music, especially alternative rock. She was also an avid animal lover and caretaker. 

Megan is survived by her father, Roger Parsons, stepmother, Patti McCollister, three daughters, Michaela Y. Emmons, who was lovingly adopted into the family of Jeff and Brenda Emmons on May 12th, 1998, Fiona V. Gilbert, Dorian L. Rankin, granddaughter, Adley Riffe, brother, Scott (Josie) Coldiron, nephew, Joshua Coldiron, niece, Attalyssa Coldiron, uncle George Geesling, uncle, Rusty (Diane) Coldiron, aunt, Ozella Coldiron, cousins Jason Geesling, Dawn (Rob) Dawson, Rachael (Jacob) Hurst, step-brother, Patrick (Kaity) Vickers. Megan is also survived by special friends Alex, Betsy, and Crystal.

Megan was preceded in death by her mother, Sarita Coldiron, grandmother Edith Parsons, cousin Jillian Coldiron, grandparents James and Betty Coldiron, uncle, Jim Coldiron, aunt, Susan Geesling, step-grandparents Kenneth (Martha) McCollister; and step-brother Ben Shiltz. 

A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 8th, at 3 pm at Church Unity Fellowship at 4405 Prarie Road, Washington Court House.
