Doug Wright

Melvin Douglas "Doug" Wright, 80, of Frankfort, died at 5:40 p.m., on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on Wednesday, November 4, 1942, in Ross County, the son of the late Glen and Bessie Harris Wright.

He is survived by one daughter, Angela Kay Wright of Frankfort, three sons, Melvin D. Wright, Jr. of Frankfort, Anthony L. Wright of Chillicothe and Glen A. Wright of Frankfort, nine grandchildren, sixteen great - grandchildren and one special granddaughter, Becky Harris of Greenfield, two sisters, Helen Tyler and Beverly Scott both of Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by one son, Paul Wright, one sister, Shirley Brown and four brothers, Edward Leon, Freddie E., James William Wright and Richard Harris.

Doug had worked at the Collins Packing Co. in Greenfield, CPC in Chillicothe and had helped Dan Ater at his stable. Doug had also helped many people with just about anything that needed to be done in and around Frankfort. He traveled the streets of Frankfort and Roxabel on his bicycle to visit and share stories with his many friends. He will be missed by all that knew Doug

A funeral service for Doug will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Kay Austin officiating. Following the service, Doug will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Family and friends can visit with his family at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
