Michael V. Wisecup, 63, of Bainbridge died on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at his home. He was born March 20, 1948 in Ross County, the son of the late Delbert and Inez Ward Wisecup.
He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia K. Adams, his children; Gretchen (Tim) Knisley of Bainbridge, Patrick Michael Wisecup of Chillicothe, Heather (Shane) Park of Chillicothe, four grandchildren; Ashley and Joshua Park, McKenzie Reutinger, Campbell Wisecup, one great grandson; Michael Shane Park, three sister; Delores (Charles) Thompson of Martinsville, OH, Cheryl Butler of Chillicothe, Karen Voris of Newark, one brother; Larry Wisecup of Chillicothe, a life long friend; Tim Meade and several special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren; Leslie and Ethan Knisley, a sister; Barbara Ann Wisecup and a brother-in-law; Keith Butler.
Mike, an avid Ford man and outdoorsman, was a graduate of Paint Valley High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He had worked at Chilpaco and he retired from Kenworth Truck Co. He had been a volunteer firefighter with the Harrison Township Fire Department. He was a member of Luther Giffin Post of the American Legion, Bainbridge, Scioto Lodge #6, Free and Accepted Masons, the Legion Riders and the Old Dogs Motorcyle Club. Mike had attended the Bourneville Christian Union Church.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. A graveside service will be held a 1 p.m. in Twin Township Cemetery, Bourneville with Rev. David Maughmer officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
