Mildred Ann Cochenour

Mildred A. Cochenour, 83, of Clarksburg, died at 4:45a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on November 2, 1931 in Ross County, the daughter of the late William and Faye Ellifritt Mossbarger. On September 3, 1949 she married Warren Cochenour who preceded her in death on October 11, 1984.

Surviving are five sons, Ron (Kay) Cochenour of Tippecanoe, Larry (Linda) Cochenour of Clarksburg, Gary (the late Diana "D") Cochenour of Frankfort, Spencer (Sheri) Cochenour of Frankfort, Greg Cochenour of Clarksburg, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, three sisters, Mary Myers of Chillicothe, Norma Jean (Don) Morris of Frankfort, Linda (Ben) Fisco of New Berry OH, two brothers, Paul Mossbarger of Clarksburg, Sam (Edna) Mossbarger of Madison WI, numerous nieces and nephews and several special friends. She was preceded in death by one grandson, one sister, Verna Seitz, and one brother, Richard Mossbarger.

Mildred was a beloved mother, homemaker and home caregiver. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, and playing canasta with her friends for several years, and found great joy in watching her grandchildren grow up. Mildred was also a former Mayor of Clarksburg.

In keeping with Mildred's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the Cochenour family at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Private burial of the cremains will be held at a later date.
