Nellie Lowe Liggins

Nellie Lowe Liggins (Smith), 89, of Columbus, died at 6:20 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon. She was born on April 2, 1922 in Lyndon, OH, the daughter of the late Edgar and Lula Mitchell Lowe.



Surviving are her three children; Patricia (Gilbert) Sewards, Larry E. (Barbara) Liggins all of Chillicothe, Marsha (Gary) Thomas of Columbus, eight grandchildren; Anthony Patterson, Kirk Patterson, Kathy Patterson, Robyn Banks, Larry A. Liggins, Bill Thomas, Kara Barker, Juan Thomas, three great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, two sisters; Genevieve Mixon and Barbara Ann Vinson both of Columbus, sister-in-law; Anna Lowe of Frankfort, special nephew; Floyd Lowe of Columbus. She was preceded in death by two infant children, six brothers, and three sisters.



Nellie had worked as a nurse's aide. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church, Chillicothe.



Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Michael Alston officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of service.
