Norma Jean Wurzbach

Norma Jean Wurzbach 78 of Bainbridge passed from this life Monday, November 8, 2021, at her home. She was born September 8, 1943, in Ross County the daughter of the late William E. Atwood and Violet Lucille Malone

Norma is survived by her three children Robert D. Wurzbach, Jr., Timothy D. Wurzbach and Kathy L. (Mark) Clifford all of Bainbridge; 7 grandchildren Clayton (Miranda) Wurzbach, Cyle Long, Christopher (Ashliegh) Wurzbach, Nicholas (Dakota) Wurzbach, Travis Wurzbach, Chance Rodgers and Britany Rodgers; 6 great grandchildren Peyton, Morgan and Bronson Wurzbach, Grayson Smith, Sienna Wurzbach and Weston Mustard; 2 brothers Rick (Christine) Atwood and Greg (Kim) Atwood; and several other relatives and friends including her cousin Vicki Goff of Iowa, Margaret Atwood, and Cindy Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Robert “Shorty” Wurzbach; an infant daughter Kimberly Sue; her brothers Marvin “Buck”, Kevin, and William “Billy” Atwood; an infant sister and a granddaughter Kimberly Wheaton.

Norma went to Southern State and Hocking Colleges where she received her Associates and became a Registered Nurse, working at Greenfield Area Medical Center for 20 plus years before retiring in 2001. Norma loved beach vacations, reading, collecting Longaberger baskets and spending time with friends and family.

The family would like to thank Shirley Thompson for her visits with Norma; Annie Diles, the other home helpers and the staff of Heartland Hospice, for the care they gave Norma.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Friday, November 12, 2021, at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Marlin Kellough officiating. Friends may visit with Norma’s family from 5-7 pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
