Omer Eugene "Gene" Reisinger

Omer E. "Gene" Reisinger, 87, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 16, 2014. He was born on August 31, 1926 in Clarksburg, the son of the late David and Lucy Reed Reisinger. On June 23, 1955 he married the former Sarah Ellis who preceded him in death.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Judith Ann, a sister, Kathryn Crabtree, a half-sister, Helen L. Wilson, and four brothers, Earl, Ralph, Willard and Glenn.

Omer was a lifetime painter and was employed in Local 605 of Chillicothe and Columbus Local 1275 for 32 years. In early life he did work at the VA Hospital and New York Central Railroad. He was also a lifetime member of Eagles Aerie 600 of Chillicothe, AmVets Post 4 of Chillicothe, and the Senior Citizens of Chillicothe.

Graveside service under the direction of the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, will be held in the Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg at 2p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014, with Pastor Jerry Caddell officiating. No calling hours will be held.
