Ora Naoma Ater

Ora N. Ater, 101, of Frankfort, died on Friday, September 23, 2011 at her home following a brief illness. She was born on August 26, 1910 the daughter of the late Alvin L. and Cora A. George Burlile. On December 29, 1925 she married Clarence Ater who preceded her in death on November 14, 1984.

Surviving are her children, daughters; Louella Turberville of Columbus, Karen Neiberline of Kingston, and Joy Neiberline of Frankfort with whom she lived along with her great-granddaughter, Misty, sons; Maynard (Laura) Ater of Tennessee, Floyd, and Ben (Pat) Ater both of Frankfort, granddaughter; Kathy, who thought of her as Mom, grandson; Brein "Grandma's Boy", numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren , nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are four daughters; Mary Kathryn, Annalee, Patricia, Pauline, two sons; Harry and James.

Ora retired from the Orient State Institute where she had been a Psychiatric Aid.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 28, 2011 at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Ronald Ater officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
