Ora P. Elliott 71 of Bainbridge died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his home. He was born August 10, 1943 in Pike County the son of the Clayton and Nora Benner Elliott. He was also predeceased by a brother, Robert Elliott.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Diana Taylor Elliott; sons, Michael Todd (Vedarena) and Dustin Jay Elliott both of Bainbridge and Troy W. (Beth) Elliott of Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister Margaret Mathews of Bainbridge; sister-in-law, Clara Mae "Cat" Elliott of Bainbridge and numerous friends.
Ora was a self-employed timber worker for over 50 years, he also had owned and operated the Happy Hollow Dirt Park. He was one of the pioneers in the Bainbridge log sawing contest during the Fall Festival of Leaves and he operated the Fruitdale Motocross.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Bainbridge Church of Christ with Rev. Bill Benner officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Ora's family Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the church.
