Ora Eugene "Gene" Knisley

Ora Eugene "Gene" Knisley 83 of Bainbridge passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, at Adena of Greenfield. He was born November 7, 1937, in Ross County, Ohio the son of the late Oakley and Ruth (Gray) Knisley.  On March 4, 1961, he married Janie (Mullikin) Knisley, who passed from this life September 6, 2018.
 
Gene survived by two daughters, Athena Swift and Ladonia Burns; two sons, Danny and Kenton Knisley; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; sister Loraine Fredrick; many nieces, nephews and friends including Karen Gallaugher.
 
In addition to his wife Gene was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey, a sister and four brothers.
 
Gene work for US Shoe for 25 years, he logged and he was also a fence builder.
 
Funeral services will be held 1pm Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Rev. Jeff Adams officiating; burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Gene’s family from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
