Orvel R. Huff

Orvel R. Huff 88, of Bainbridge died 12:20 am Monday, June 14, 2010 at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born December 13, 1921 in Pike County, the son of the late Roy and Ethel Mathena Huff.



On July 9, 1940 Orvel married Etta Faye Smith who passed from this life July 21, 2009. He is survived by 2 sons, Larry (Alice) Huff of Bainbridge, Orvel Lee (Denise) Huff of Blanchester; grandchildren, Cheri, Julie, Loretta, Larry, Jr., Carisa, Cheryl, Jennifer and Daniel; great grandchildren, Austin, Jacob, Blake and Levi; sister, Helen Mays of Minford; cousin, Maxine McClellan of NC and nephew, Bob McCoy of Idaho.



He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley A"SissyA" Huff and a sister, Florence Knisley.



Orvel owned and operated a mechanic shop for over 50 years. He was an avid Ford lover and he enjoyed repairing Ford tractors.



Funeral Services will be held 1 pm Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home, Bainbridge. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
