Patresea A. Lowery, 93, of Frankfort died at 9:09am, on Thursday morning, March 30, 2023, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born on Sunday, March 30, 1930, in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Kirby E. and Beatrice McAffee Hall. On May 24, 1963, she married Robert A. "Popeye" Lowery, and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2012.
Patresea is survived by her children, Brent (Mary) Lowery of Frankfort, Tonyea Adams of Kingston, Jodi (Orval) Gatten of Frankfort, Cindi (Carl) Dearth of Frankfort, honorary daughter, Jacki (Doug) Merrit of Frankfort, seven grandchildren including some who held a special place in her heart, Vanessa Adams, AJ Lowery, Bridget Lowery, Paul Lowery, twelve great-grandchildren including a special great-grandchild, Lilee Grace, special friend, Kaye Newlan. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Skinner, two brothers, Dale Shoemaker, Ray Shoemaker, and one son-in-law, David Adams.
Patresea was a 1948 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She retired from working as a bookkeeper for Eastern Avenue Lumber in Chillicothe.
In keeping with Patresea's wishes cremation will take place. A graveside service for Patresea will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11 am in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, with Rev. Phil Rutherford officiating. A celebration of Patresea and Popeye's lives will also be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023, in the Riverview Conference Center, Chillicothe from 1 to 3pm. For both services, the Lowery family asks that casual, brightly colored clothing, including blue jeans, be worn. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
