Patsy Carter Greene

Patsy Carter Greene, 87, of Greenfield, crossed over from this earthly life on November 29, 2022, at 12:35 a.m., at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Thursday, October 24, 1935, to the late Emil and Nell Cox Carter. On May 14, 1954, she married Donald Reese Greene who preceded her in death on November 3, 1978.   

She is survived by four daughters: Donna (Greg) Long of Greenfield, Glenna (Bill) Rowe of Greenfield, Lori Huston of Chillicothe and Karen (Greg) Barr of Greenfield, her grandchildren; Brandon (Tia) Long, Heather (Lee) Walker, William Seth (Molly) Rowe, Sara Clark, Brittany Greene, Mikala (Dan) Baxter, Cody (Mallory) Watson and Kristen (Doug) Miller, thirteen great – grandchildren, her siblings; Grace (Herb) Bartley of Hillsboro, Denise Carter of Hillsboro, Keith Carter of San Antonio, TX and Lynn (Norma) Carter, South Salem and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patsy was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Morris two brothers, Cecil Carter and Garry Carter and son-in law: Dennis Huston.

Patsy was a 1953 graduate of Buckskin High School. She was a member of the Fruitdale United Methodist Church. Patsy was a founding member of the Greenfield Area Life Squad where she served as Chief for several years. After retiring from the US Shoe Corporation, she worked at several convenience stores and Charlie’s Market in the Greenfield area. Patsy was a skilled quilter and like the challenge of collecting old coinage.

Cremation will take place and by her request, no service will be held. The ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield is serving the family.
