Paul Arthur King

Paul A. King, 79, of Chillicothe, went to be with The Lord at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013 following a brief illness. He was born on February 12, 1934 to Paul J. and Margaret King. On March 2, 1958 he married the former Pauline Reed who preceded him in death in 1993.

He is survived by: a daughter Jean and son-in-law Greg Smith of Chillicothe, grandchildren Nikki (Chris) Robison, and Buddy (Megan Falk) Smith; great grandchildren Brayden, Reed, Harper, and a great grand-daughter expected to arrive in March 2014; sisters Mary McCloud of Wellston, Laticia (Keith) Nickell of Hamden, brother Joe (Bonnie) King of Kingston, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles.

Paul served as a member of the U.S. Army in 1956 and 1957, where he worked as a tank mechanic. He was employed by E.I. Dupont for 21 years, retiring in 1980 due to an injury sustained while fighting a fire. He was very active in the community and his church. He was a founding member of both the Union Twp Fire Dept and Pleasant Valley Regional Sewer District and a long time member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Paul loved his family dearly and was loved by many.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Brett Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery, Yellowbud. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m..
