Paul William "Bill" Mills 85 of Bainbridge died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at his home. He was born March 7, 1930 in Bainbridge the son of the late Glenn and Mabel Campbell Mills. On September 5, 1952 he married, his wife of 63 years, Sarah M. Hartman Mills, who survives.
He is also survived by his children, Paul (Laura) Mills, Jr. of Cincinnati, Susan Martin of Greenfield, Tamela (William) Stout of Chillicothe, Timothy Ray (Lynn) Mills of Hamilton and Eric (Jennifer) Mills of Bainbridge; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Mildred (Gene) Johnson of FL; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Mills Knisley and brothers, John and Harold "Duke' Mills.
Paul was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was awarded three bronze stars. He retired from the Atomic Plant after 32 years of service as a security guard. Paul was a member of The Church in Chillicothe and a member of the Bainbridge Lodge 196 - Free and Accepted Masons. Paul was a respected father and grandfather who dearly loved his grandchildren. He also liked woodworking and the outdoors.
The funeral services will be held 1 pm Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Daniel DeGarmo officiating burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the Mills family from 11 am until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
