Pauline J. Metzger, 88, of Washington CH, died at 12:10pm, Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Vineyards at Concord, Frankfort. She was born on June 3, 1922 in New Boston OH, the daughter of the late Robert and Maude Howard Pelfrey. On November 15, 1941 she married Charles W. Metzger who preceded her in death on February 16, 1996.
She is survived by her children; Joseph (Pamela) Metzger of Washington CH, Paulette "Sue" (Phil) Mowbray of Grand Junction CO, Mary E. (William) Smith of Mansfield, Charlene (Douglas) Burns of Washington CH, Emily (Charles) Wilson of Lancaster, James W. Metzger of Washington CH, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, sister; Phyllis Clinebell of Denver CO, brothers; Ray Pelfrey of Sparks NV, and Charles Franklin Pelfrey of Sable Springs FL. She was preceded in death by one brother; Robert D. Pelfrey, and one sister; Rosella Richter.
Pauline was a 1939 graduate of Clarksburg High School. She was a member of Pisgah Mount Pleasant Federated Church where she was a member of the choir. She also attended Austin United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and an MYF leader. She also helped with the Austinettes 4H Club.
Friends may call at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, FRANKFORT on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
