Phyllis Bossert

Phyllis A. Bossert, 94, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 12:25AM at Court House Manor, Washington C.H.. She was born on Tuesday, August 30, 1927, in Ross County, the daughter of the late George “Chub” and Marie Friece Ackley. On January 16, 1946, she married Harry T. Bossert, Jr., and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1984. 

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Peggy) Bossert of Chillicothe, Timothy (Sherry) Bossert of Frankfort, Jacalyn (Doug) Merritt of Frankfort, six grandchildren, Shane (Lisa) Hardy, Lincoln (Kim) Bossert, Shawn (Jamie) Bossert, Shannon (Mandy Dailey) Bossert, Abby (Clint) Hatton, Levi (Haley) Merritt, twelve great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, special friend, Dominique Smith, who she called her guardian angel. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Bobby Lee Bossert, one sister, Doris McDonald, two sisters-in-law, Joanne Reichert, Barb Stafford, one brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Bossert.

Phyllis was a 1945 graduate of Frankfort High School. She worked many years at Durable Products and retired in 1991. She cherished her family and loved each and every one of them. For the last five years Sherry Bossert was her special caregiver. They were all her life. 

Phyllis loved talking to people and never met a stranger. Phyllis also loved to shop and was ready to go whenever someone mentioned shopping. She enjoyed going to Frankfort Senior Citizen outings, sitting on her porch and watching the red birds. She had such a kind spirit and the biggest heart. She will be so sadly missed by her family and friends.

A graveside service for Phyllis will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 11AM in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort with Craig Reichert officiating. In lieu of flowers, Phyllis’ family ask that donations be made to a charity of one’s own choosing. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
