Ralph Campbell 93, of Bainbridge died 5:40 am Saturday, September 20, 2014. He was born November 28, 1920 in Ross County the son of the late Thomas and Christena Rhoads Campbell. On April 23, 1948 he married Mary Martha "Toot" Herdman who died December 3, 1994. Ralph later married Helen "Butler" Rhodes, who survives.
He is also survived by a son-in-law; John Dunham of Lewis Center; grandchildren, Dara (John) Jackson, Tiffany (Francois) Gnemmi and Collin (Jen) Dunham; great grandchildren, Thomas, Elizabeth and Matthieu Gnemmi; stepdaughter Brenda (Darrell) Kingsland; step grandchildren, Eric (Jamie) Kingsland and Jason Kingsland; step great granddaughter, Casey Kingsland; sister-in-law, Narda Campbell; brother-in-laws, Paul Barker and Ed Herdman; nieces and nephews, Lavera Francis, Katherine Knauff, Ruth Mitten, Wanda Hoylman, Beverly Graves, Imogene Greathouse, Mildred McMillen, Paul Malone, Jr., Bill Mills, Robert "Shorty" Wurzbach and Bruce Barker.
Ralph was preceded in death by a foster/adoptive daughter, Darlene Dunham; four sisters, Mabel Mills, Daisy Wurzbach, Rebecca Chester and Ella Malone and four brothers, Ray, Willie, Don and Lloyd Campbell.
Ralph was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He also attended the Morgantown Church of Christ in Christian Union where the service will be held 11 am Wednesday, September 24, 2014 with Rev. Jeff Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Ross County Honor Guard. The Campbell family will receive family and friends from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday at the Bainbridge Church of Christ.
