Ralph D. Junk, 92, of Frankfort, died at 8:45 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on December 21, 1921 at Austin, Ohio, the son of the late Fay and Blanche Dick Junk. On September 15, 1944 he married Betty Godden Queen and she preceded him in death on September 4, 1991.

He is survived by two sons; Jackie (Marsha) Junk of Washington C.H, Joe Junk of Frankfort, one daughter; Cindy (Mike) Francis of Frankfort, two step children; Don Queen of Chillicothe and Donna (Otto, Jr.) Roll of Clarksburg, five grandchildren; Kim (Michael) Gilmore, Kristi (Bret) Fox, Max (Jennifer) Francis, Brandon (Rachel) Francis, Corey Francis, step grandchildren; Marc (Sara) Queen, Tonya Smith, Chris Queen, Beth (Alan) Dill, Lori Roll, Andy Roll, Chad (Amanda) Roll, twenty three great grandchildren, one sister; Nancy Warner of Dayton, two brothers; David (Frances) Junk of Washington C.H., Sam (Jackie) Junk of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by one son; Larry Junk, two sisters and five brothers.

Ralph was a 1941 graduate of Frankfort High School. He was a US Army veteran serving during World War II. Ralph retired from the Engineering Department of the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center after 31 years of service. He had also worked as a farmer and at Harper's Garage in Frankfort.

He was a member of the Frankfort Presbyterian Church, a sixty seven year member of the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 - American Legion, and was a sixty one year member of the Frankfort Masonic Lodge 309 - Free and Accepted Masons.

Ralph's family would like to thank the Adena Hospital, it's great doctors, nurses and the Hospice Care Staff for the great care they extended to their father.

In keeping with Ralph's wishes, family and friends are asked to gather at Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort where a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Rev Robert Getty of the Frankfort Presbyterian Church will officiate the service and burial will follow. No calling hours will be observed. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Concord Twp EMS, PO Box 616, Frankfort, OH 45628. The EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort is serving the family.
