Randy L. Penn, 62, of Greenfield, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Adena Greenfield Area Medical Center. He was born June 4, 1953 in Greenfield, Ohio, the son of Kenny and Peggy Lou Hess Penn. On September 9, 2009 he married the former Carla Smith
Randy is survived by his wife; Carla Penn of Greenfield, his father; Kenny Penn of Greenfield, one son; Ray S. Penn of Orlando, Florida, three stepchildren; Cary Smith of Cincinnati, Billie Brown of Hillsboro and Rebekah Schrimper of Lynchburg,four grandchildren; Jordan, Asia, Kayla and Zander Penn, 6 step grandchildren, one great grandchild; Ryder Penn, one sister; Chic Reichel of Marathon, Florida and special friends; Jim Freshour, Larry McGarvey and Kurt Cokonougher. He is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Penn and one sister; Lana Wisecup.
Randy was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served as a firefighter for the city of Greenfield for twenty six years. He was a member of the International Association of Firefighters and was a head diver and instructor in scuba diving.
Funeral service will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 1:00p.m. in the ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield with Pastor Kimball Zornes officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield. Friends may visit with Randy's family on Thursday from 4-8p.m. at the funeral home.
