Richard L. Althouse

Richard L. Althouse, 79, of Greenfield, died at 8:05 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Four Seasons Care Center, Washington C.H. He was born on March 21, 1936 in Ross County, the son of the late Sherman and Chloe Cochran Althouse. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Linda K. Marshall Althouse.
Also surviving are two sons; Patrick (Beth) Althouse of Greenfield and Rick Althouse of Washington C.H. one special grandson; Austin Althouse, two granddaughters, two grandsons and eight great grandchildren, three sisters; Evelyn (Mike) Dawson, Lora Helfreich, Cheree Richards, four brothers; Steve Althouse, Gary (Mary) Althouse, Wayne (Linda) Althouse and Ronnie (Edith) Althouse. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Lovejoy and one sister, May Majestic.
Richard loved working in wood and building houses. He retired from Community Action of Fayette County where he was a supervisor with the Self Help Housing Program.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the Althouse family on Thursday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
