Richard Wayne "Rick" Holbert

Richard W. "Rick" Holbert 43 departed this life 2:42 pm Monday, October 6, 2014 at his home after a brief illness. He was born February 19, 1971 in Chillicothe to Robert and Shirley Mohr Holbert.

He is survived by the love of his life and caregiver, Sandra Mullins Holbert of Fairborn; his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Harold Campbell of Waverly; siblings, Robert E. (Trish) and Tom (Bridget) Holbert, Lori (Tom) McGraw all of Bainbridge, Vernon (Drema Felts) Holbert of Waverly; special nieces and nephews, Alicia Cooper, Anita Ewing, Natasha, Alex, Jeremy, Andrew, Katie and Dwayne Holbert, Robert and Jeff McGraw and Elizabeth Long; 14 great nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own child.

He was predeceased by his father, and a son Richard Thomas Holbert.

Rick was a former construction and blacktop worker and he enjoyed working as a logger with his brothers. He also loved the rain and listening to the frogs. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those who loved him.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, October 10, 2014 at the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT Funeral Home, Bainbridge with Pastor Jeff Blakeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery. The Holbert family will receive family and friends from 5-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
