Richard Lee Schoonover

Richard L. Schoonover, 82, of Chillicothe, died at 9:44 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019, at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. He was born on October 9, 1936 in Ross County, the son of the late Marcus A. and Louella Hise Schoonover. He married the former Mary Alice Smith who preceded him in death.

Richard is survived by three sons, Richard (Telisa) Schoonover, William Kyle Schoonover, Jonathan Wilson Schoonover, all of Chillicothe, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mary Cluff of Lynchburg, Sue Detty of Frankfort, and Pat Davidson of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Hatton.

Richard worked as a mechanic and managed the Standard Oil gas station in Frankfort.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe with Dan DeGarmo officiating. Friends may visit with the Schoonover family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort.
