Robert E. "Butch" Brown, 67, of Frankfort, died at 2:29 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born in Ross County on May 8, 1945, the son of Eugene "Bill" Brown and Alma Jean Montgomery. On September 21, 1996 he married the former Rhonda S. Martin, who survives.
Also surviving are his mother; Alma Jean Rinehart of Chillicothe, one son; Logan S. (Abby) Brown of Frankfort, one granddaughter; Issabella Brown, one great niece; Cloe Blazer of Frankfort, mother-in-law; Judy Martin of Columbus, one sister-in-law; Myra Brown of Hallsville, two nieces; Jody Brown of Waverly, Amy Brown Thompson of Canal Winchester, and one godson; Jason Gallagher. He was preceded in death by his father; Eugene "Bill" Brown, one brother; Keith "Shorty" Brown, father-in-law; Ted Martin Jr., and his grandparents who raised him; Forrest and Noble Muntz Brown.
Butch was a 1964 graduate of Centralia High School. He was a truck driver for USF Holland and retired in 2009. Butch served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Community United Methodist Church, Hallsville, the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 American Legion, Frankfort, and a 32 year member of the Teamsters 413, Columbus.
Friends are asked to gather at 1p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in the Hallsville Cemetery for a graveside service with Reverend David Titler officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Pickaway County Honor Guard. No calling hours will be held
