Robert T "Bob" Harper

Robert T. "Bob" Harper, 74, of Frankfort, died at 9:26a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born on September 8, 1941, in Frankfort, the son of the late Wilbur E. and Grace E. Orr Harper. On September 21, 1979 he married the former Gwen Grabill, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his son, Shawn (Michelle) Harper of Frankfort, his two very special grandchildren, who he loved dearly, Gaven and Ellie Harper, and a community full of friends who he would go out of his way to help, no matter the hour. He was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte K. Harper, and one brother, Ronald L. Harper.

Bob was a 1959 graduate of Frankfort High School. He was a mechanic, owner and operator of Harper's Garage & Wrecker Service of Frankfort. Bob served as Fire Chief of the Concord Township Fire Department for 34 years, having retired in 2003. He was also a member of the Frankfort Lodge 309-Free and Accepted Masons. Bob played an integral role in the Frankfort community for many years, in capacities that many were unaware of.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may visit with the Harper family on Friday at the funeral home from 4 to 8p.m.. A masonic service will take place at 7p.m..
