Robert F. Junk, 99, of Frankfort, died at the Vineyards of Concord at 7:45a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. He was born on August 3, 1913 in Austin OH, the son of the late Fay T. and Blanche D. Junk. On June 17, 1933 he married the former Ruth Hardman who preceded him in death on January 23, 2008.
Surviving are his children, Charles (Donna) Junk of Frankfort, Thomas (Danielle) of Virginia, Jane (William) Cesary of Florida, grandchildren, Robert, Don, Thomas Junk Jr., four great-grandchildren, three brothers, David Junk of Washington CH, Ralph Junk of Frankfort, and Sam Junk of Chillicothe, and one sister, Nancy Warner of Dayton. He was preceded in death by brothers, Neil, Harry, Thomas, John Albert, and sisters, Jane Cardi and Joanne Cory.
Robert served as the Concord Township Trustee for 32 years, was a 65 year member of the Frankfort Masonic Lodge 309 Free & Accepted Masons, where he served for 39 years as secretary. He was also a member of the former Concord Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. He was a lifelong farmer, and part-time clerk for the Patterson Auction services. Robert was also an active member of the Austin Methodist Church for many years.
A graveside service will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the Greenlawn Cemetery Frankfort with Chaplain Brad Harris officiating. A Masonic service will be held at the graveside by the Frankfort Masonic Lodge. Calling hours will not be observed.
