Robert Arlen "Popeye" Lowery

Robert A. "Popeye" Lowery, 76, of Frankfort, died at 7:19am, Friday March 9, 2012 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born in Roxabel on April 24, 1935, the son of the late Robert H. and Audrey M. Driesbach Lowery. On May 24, 1963 he married the former Patresea Hall who survives.

Also surviving are his children; Brent (Mary) Lowery of Frankfort, Toni Adams of Kingston, Jodi Lowery, and Cindi (Carl) Dearth all of Frankfort, seven grandchildren including a special granddaughter; Vanessa "Mouthy" Adams, Carl "Bub" Bowling, A.J. "Great Hunter" Lowery, eleven great-grandchildren, and a special cousin Don (Kaye) Newlun. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law; David L. Adams, and sister; Margie Shoemaker.

Popeye was a 1953 graduate of Frankfort High School. He worked as a clerk in the maintenance department at Mead, Chillicothe, before retiring after 43 years of service. He loved gardening and wood working.

Friends are invited to gather at 11am on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort for a graveside service with Rev. Phil Rutherford officiating. No calling hours will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Adena Cancer Center 272 Hospital Rd, Suite1, Chillicothe OH 45601.
