Robert Paul Peck, 93, of New Holland, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday morning, March 19, 2025. He was born on October 28, 1931 in the family home where he lived most of his life. He was a son of the late Paul Gladstone and Mary Ellen Tarbill Peck. Bob married the former Dianne Steinhauser on September 6, 1959. He is survived by his wife of 65 years.

Also surviving are their four children: James Robert Peck of Clarksburg, Nancy Peck Detty (Tim) of Kingston, Carol Peck Brown (Phil) of Moro, Illinois, and Paul Richard Peck (Kelly) of New Holland, three grandchildren: Emma Brown, Robert Brown, and Nick Detty, a special nephew, John Peck of Wilmington, NC and other treasured family members. Bob was preceded in death by his sister, June Bowman, and his brother, John Peck.

Bob was a graduate of Atlanta High School, and he also attended the Ohio State University. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He was a lifelong farmer in Perry Township, Pickaway County and also a lifelong member of the Atlanta United Methodist Church. Bob served as a Perry Township Trustee for many years. He was also an inspector for the Pickaway County Weights and Measures.

As a descendant of the Peck, Tarbill, and Ater families, who were early settlers of the area, Bob was a member of the Arthur St. Clair Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Bob was an avid genealogist. While serving as a township trustee, he was instrumental in the restorations of the old Perry Township cemeteries.

Bob was very involved in his community. He was a member of the Pickaway County Historical Society, the Clarksburg Grange, Ross County Pomona Grange and the National Grange. He was a 32nd Degree Mason having membership in the New Holland Masonic Lodge, the Aladdin Temple Shrine and the Valley of Columbus - Scottish Rite. He was a member of the State and County Trustees Association, the Pickaway County Farm Bureau and was a founding member of the New Holland Flywheelers Club. One of his favorite activities during retirement was the restoration of antique Case tractors.

Above all, his proudest achievement was his family. The love of his life, his wife Dianne, their kids and their spouses and grandchildren provided him his happiest memories.

A funeral service will be held at the Atlanta United Methodist Church, 25960 SR 207, in Atlanta at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025, with Pastor Serena Wolfe officiating.
